Rodrigo Muniz is on his way to Fulham to add to their attacking ranks this summer transfer window, and Football League World can reveal exclusively he turned down a better offer from Middlesbrough to sign with the Cottagers.
The men from SW6 will be pretty content with their start to the Sky Bet Championship season, with a draw against Boro followed up by a heavy victory at Huddersfield Town at the weekend.
Despite the five goals they scored, though, there’s been a feeling that Fulham needed to add further to their options in the final third and that’s what they’re doing with Muniz coming in.
The young striker was also of interest to Middlesbrough this summer, too, and Football League World can reveal exclusively that the Teessiders actually made a bigger offer to him than the one that Fulham made, but the attacker’s preference was to head to the London club rather than to the Riverside Stadium.
It’s now seemingly a matter of time before he becomes a Fulham player, then, and Cottagers fans will be hoping that he can push Aleksandar Mitrovic all the way for a starting spot in the side and really add to their attacking ranks this season.
