Plymouth Argyle goalkeeper, Michael Cooper, is attracting interest from Premier League and Championship clubs as his impressive form at Home Park continues, Football League World understands.

Cooper has been on an upward trajectory since the beginning of the 2020/21 campaign. Prior to that, the goalkeeper had only made a handful of outings for Plymouth, yet he made 52 appearances last term as Argyle finished 18th in a competitive League One.

That form has continued into the current season, with Cooper managing five clean sheets in nine appearances across all competitions, four of which have come in League One.

Football League World understands that scouts are keeping tabs on Cooper's form in goal, with the 21-year-old attracting plenty of admirers.

West Brom, Sheffield United, Birmingham City and Coventry City are amongst the Championship clubs that have already checked in on the goalkeeper this season.

It's also been explained by a source that Aston Villa, Southampton and Brentford have done the same, as Cooper continues to excel.

Cooper's impressive form in goal has helped lift Plymouth to an early place in the League One play-offs. They sit fourth after eight fixtures.

Ryan Lowe's side are looking to continue their surge this weekend when they face bottom club, Doncaster Rovers.
