Leeds United's Alfie McCalmont made his debut for the Northern Ireland senior team in a 1-0 win over Luxembourg on Thursday evening.Â
The youngster has broken through to the first-team setup in Marcelo Bielsa's squad this term, and will be hoping he can further his development under the Leeds boss.
McCalmont looked sharp after coming off the substitutes bench against Luxembourg, and he could provide Bielsa with a welcome selection dilemma in the future.
It looks as though the central midfielder will be the next young talent to feature regularly for Leeds, and it's clear to see that he's highly rated by both Bielsa and Michael O'Neill at Northern Ireland.
McCalmont will be hoping that he can feature on the international stage again, when his side take on Germany in their Euro 2020 qualifier.
