The international break came at the right time for Sheffield Wednesday, who have found picking up points a difficult task in the last couple of weeks and that has forced a number of supporters to call for Carlos Carvalhal's head.

The Owls have just one victory in their last six outings, which was a 5-1 drumming of Norwich City, and that has meant what was a comfortable gap ahead of Fulham is now a threat to dropping out of the play-offs - the Cottagers sit just one point behind the Yorkshire outfit.

Wednesday could put this lack of recent form down to several reasons, firstly the manager, but a lot of the players on that pitch have to take responsibility for themselves and speak up.

Compared to their feat of last season which saw them reach Wembley at the final hurdle, a few first-teamers haven't been up to scratch and that has caused a different turn of results this term.

Here are TWO Sheffield Wednesday players who have seriously underperformed this campaign...... Do you agree?

Keiren Westwood

The Republic of Ireland international has struggled at Hillsborough this season and it really has harmed the whole club's performance this year.

Keiren Westwood was one of the best goalkeepers last year in the league, and, in fact, was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year which just shows how brilliant he was on Sheffield Wednesday's road to Wembley.

However, the 32-year-old has conceded 36 goals in as many games this campaign and has just 12 clean sheets.

Clearly not the player he was for the 2015/16 season  - his form has somewhat taken a turn for the worse.

Atdhe Nuhiu

Atdhe Nuhiu never has been known for his goal scoring abilities at Sheffield Wednesday, but his confidence must be significantly low this campaign having not bagged a single goal for the club, his only coming for Kosovo in World Cup qualifying.

The 27-year-old attacker has failed to hit the net or make an assist at all this season, which is fairly undermining compared to his performances of last year.

Nuhiu has time to prove his worth but overall he will be disappointed with the overall display he has put into matches this year, and it is hardly surprising that he's made less than 20 appearances in the Championship.

Wednesday supporters, what are you opinions? Have these two underperformed this season? Who else has? Give us your thoughts in the comments below!
