Nottingham Forest midfielder Adlene Guedioura has fractured his cheekbone, he confirmed on Twitter after yesterday's match against Wigan Athletic.

Guedioura was substituted at half-time during yesterday's 2-2 draw with Wigan, being replaced by Ben Watson after the interval.

The Algerian central midfielder took to Twitter to give fans an update on his injury, confirming that he had fractured his cheekbone and showing them a picture of the bruise under his eye.

He also confirmed that he will not be out for long and return even stronger.

The 32-year-old also praised his team for their fighting spirit and resilience to grab a point in the end.

Hillal Soudani scored an injury time equaliser at the DW Stadium to salvage a draw and Guedioura was pleased to see the 'never say die' attitude in the camp.

Here is how some Nottingham Forest fans reacted to Guedioura's injury update and message to his team-mates.
