Pablo Hernandez has been a shining light at Elland Road this season, impressing even whilst Leeds United have been struggling during the second-half of the campaign.

The 33-year-old midfielder has managed to produce some extremely impressive performances over the course of the season, scoring nine goals and registering a further eight assists.

This morning Leeds have moved to announce that Hernandez has committed his future to the Whites, with the former Spanish international agreeing a two-year deal at Elland Road.

Hernandez has quashed speculation surrounding his future, with his new deal in Leeds tying him down until the summer of 2020.

The influential midfielder has captained Leeds on occasion in recent weeks, and has produced his best football in a white shirt during the second-half of a mediocre season.

As expected, Leeds’ supporters are delighted to learn that Hernandez has committed his future to the club.
