Sheffield Wednesday were beaten 3-0 by Reading at the weekend as their poor run of results continued in the Championship.

It means that the pressure is growing on Owls boss Garry Monk, as he looks to find the solution to their dismal run of form at the earliest of opportunities.

In our latest FLW Six Pointer, we look into more detail on this slump in form, and question as to whether Monk has lost the dressing room at Hillsborough.

Firstly, how bad has this poor run of form actually been?

"Sheffield Wednesday have only won once in their last seven games in all competitions, which has seen them slide down the Championship table at a quite alarming rate.

"The Owls once occupied a spot in the play-off positions earlier this season, but any chance of a top-six finish has swiftly been dashed after this dismal run of form.

"Monk's side had beaten both Brighton and Leeds before this poor run of results, so it's even more frustrating for the club's supporters, as they know that the ability is there in their side."

Who has to take the majority of the blame for these disappointing results?

"Both Monk and the Sheffield Wednesday players have to shoulder the responsibility as equally as each other.

"Some of Monk's team selections were questionable, with his recent decision to start Fernando Forestieri at left wing-back being one of the most bizarre decisions I've seen in recent seasons.

"But as a manager, you can only do so much, and the players have to put in good performances on the pitch to get positive results to fire themselves up the Championship table."

Are supporters losing patience with Garry Monk?

"Absolutely.

"If anything, there are more supporters that are seemingly calling for him to be sacked than there are not. You only have to look at some of the replies from the club's social media pages to see what the reaction has been like.

"The Sheffield Wednesday supporters voiced their displeasure at the recent defeat to Reading at the full-time whistle, and the pressure is definitely growing on Monk.

"A positive result in their next game against Birmingham City is a must this weekend."

Can you score full marks on this Sheffield Wednesday quiz?

Are they right to be calling for him to be dismissed?

"I think they've got every right to call for him to be dismissed.

"Recent results simply haven't been good enough for Sheffield Wednesday, and they've thrown away a golden opportunity to finish inside the play-off positions in the Championship this season.

"They're now nine points adrift of the top-six, and if they carry on the way they currently are, then they could well find themselves looking nervously over their shoulders as the season heads towards a conclusion."

What needs to change at Sheffield Wednesday?

"The results. It's as simple as that.

"There will always be the argument that Monk has to shoulder the blame himself, but the players aren't playing for him, so it would be unfair for all of the blame to be put on the Owls boss.

"But the longer this poor run of results continues, the more toxic the atmosphere will become between the club's supporters.

"It wouldn't come as a surprise to see Monk depart the club before the season is up, as results haven't been anywhere near good enough in recent weeks."

Finally, can you see Sheffield Wednesday turning this poor run of results around?

"I can see them turning their poor run of results around, but whether Monk is the man to do it, I'm not convinced.

"As previously mentioned, some of his team selections have been bizarre. At this moment in time, he's lost the dressing room in my opinion, as the players aren't reaching the potential that we all know they're capable of.

"With the greatest of respect to the likes of Luton Town and Reading, Sheffield Wednesday should be beating them, and they aren't.

"Something has to change, and fast."
