Blackburn Rovers have confirmed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer on a season-long loan deal.

In a statement on the Blackburn Rovers website, the club announced that the 21-year-old had signed a one-year loan deal at Ewood Park.

Palmer spent the first-half of last season on-loan at Premier League outlet Huddersfield Town, who he had helped to England’s top-flight, before spending the latter stages of the campaign at Derby County, where he contributed towards their play-off push.

Blackburn Rovers ended last season runners up in League One behind Wigan Athletic, and will be hoping that the youngster can help them progress throughout the Championship season, as they look to solidify their place in the second-tier of English football.

The midfielder has experience playing across various levels of international football for England, including six appearances and one goal for the England Under-21 squad.
