Queens Park Rangers have completed the signing of former Swansea defender Angel Rangel, and most Hoops fans are pleased with the business.

The 35-year-old has signed a short-term deal at Loftus Road and becomes the club’s second signing after the arrival of Toni Leistner.

Rangel arrives on a free transfer after his release from Swansea City in the summer and provides manager Steve McClaren with much-needed experience.

Young defender Darnell Furlong is currently out with a knee injury, so the arrival of the right-back, who can operate at centre-half is a timely one.

Rangel’s deal runs until the middle of January and told the club’s official site: “I had a phone call from the manager saying he was looking for some experience.

“I think the main word used was experience. He wants to use my Premier League experience as an important part of our game.

“I want to use every single weapon I have to help the team achieve their targets. I’ve seen lots of talent in training - from what I have seen we can only get better.”

This weekend could see Rangel make his Rangers debut when they travel to the Hawthorns to take on West Bromwich Albion.

With that said, here is how the QPR fans reacted on Twitter to the signing of the veteran 35-year-old.
