Plenty of Sunderland fans have reacted after summer signing Laurens De Bock made his debut in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

The Leeds United loanee started at left-back and impressed as the Black Cats saw off Sheffield United to progress to the fourth round of the cup.

Max Power scored the only goal of the match as Jack Ross' side saw-off Premier League opposition for the second round in a row, this time in the form of the Blades.

When the goal came, it was a screamer as well. With a clever corner eventually falling to the midfielder, he took just one touch before arrowing his effort into the top corner.

The Black Cats weathered the late pressure from their top-flight hosts well to pick-up a confidence boosting win, following a couple of poor performances in their League One season.

And there is no doubt that De Bock had a role to play, with plenty of fans heaping praise on him after the game...
