As one Coventry City star nears his return to full fitness after a long-term injury, another is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Coventry have confirmed on the club's official website that Biamou has torn his Anterior Cruciate Ligament.

This was the same injury which Jodi Jones suffered last November and the winger is only just on the cusp of a first-team return now.

Biamou played a pivotal role in Coventry's promotion last season, scoring nine goals for the Sky Blues and two in the play-off semi-finals.

Although the 27-year-old is yet to find the net this season, his physical presence up front is the central point for Coventry's attacks.

Without the Frenchman, Coventry are relying on new signings Jordy Hiwula, Jonson Clarke-Harris, Reise Allassani and Amadou Bakayoko up front after losing Marc McNulty to Reading earlier this summer.

Here are how Coventry fans reacted to the devastating news that Biamou has torn his ACL.
