‘So poor’, ‘Way out of his depth’ – These Charlton fans were not impressed with one man in defeat to Accrington Stanley

It was a bad night for Charlton Athletic on Friday, as they were comfortably beaten 2-0 by Accrington Stanley at The Valley.
Goals in either half from Colby Bishop were enough to secure all three points for the visitors, allowing them to leapfrog the Addicks into the play-off places in the League One table.
That result means that Charlton have now won just one of their last seven games, and perhaps not surprisingly, plenty of the club’s fans were far from happy as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game.
One player who came in for a considerable amount of criticism there, was captain Jason Pearce.
It was the centre back’s failure to deal with a long ball forward that allowed Bishop in to open the scoring for Stanley, and was the main talking point of a difficult night for the Addicks skipper, who struggled to really settle in the game, something that did not go unnoticed by the club’s fanbase.
Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say about the 33-year-old’s performance.
Pearce is so poor #cafc

Jason Pearce can’t deal with anything thrown at him. He’s way out of his depth #cafc

I don’t ever want to see Jason Pearce play for us again #cafc

#cafc nightmare. What is going on? Why is Madison not starting? Pearce has lost it and the whole team lacks confidence. We are going to have to fight really hard just for the play offs and right now we look like relegation fodder🙄🙄

#cafc this Charlton team is awful. Absolutely bullied in the middle. Pearce just jumping around like your uncle at a disco.

Can’t wait to see Pratley back at centre back; which says it all about Jason Pearce. This isn’t his level anymore, and it hasn’t been for awhile. #cafc

I won’t have any deji slander tonight. Pearce has been 10x worse. #cafc
