‘So many questions’ – Plenty of Leeds fans shocked by ‘mental’ post-QSI takeover XI

The team selection in a graphic predicting what Leeds United’s starting XI could look like if Qatari Sports Investment (QSI) complete a takeover of the club has left many Whites fans shocked.

It was reported by ESPN earlier this week that talks had been ongoing between QSI, the Qatari investment company that owns French club PSG, and Leeds for a while over a possible takeover.

The report claimed that nothing has yet been finalised but the two parties have had positive discussions recently and further talks are planned in the days to come.

First of all, who started in goal at Elland Road?

Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani revealed in an interview in October that there were a number of parties interested in investing in the club.

However, it is understood that QSI are leading the way due to the close relationship between their chairman Nasser al-Khelaifi and Radrizzani.

Yesterday, The Sun published a graphic showing how the Whites might line-up should QSI takeover.

The XI includes current players Kiko Casilla, Luke Ayling, Liam Cooper, Ben White, Stuart Dallas, Kalvin Phillips, and Eddie Nketiah, as well as a few notable additions.

Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho and PSG’s Jese Rodriguez are on either flank, Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil partners Phillips in central midfield, while World Cup-winning PSG forward Kevin Mbappe joins Nketiah upfront.

The graphic appears to have shocked many Whites supporters, who took to Twitter to express their thoughts.
