It was a frustrating afternoon for Middlesbrough on Saturday, as they were beaten 1-0 by Millwall at The Den.

An own goal from Grant Hall half an hour into the game was enough to secure all three points for the hosts, forcing 'Boro to make the long trip back to The Riverside empty handed.

With Barnsley losing and Reading drawing, that defeat meant that Neil Warnock's side missed out on a chance to close the gap to the play-off places, and they now sit ninth in the Championship table, six points off a top six spot.

Perhaps not surprisingly therefore, a number of Middlesbrough fans were not exactly happy as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on the game, and one player who came in for a considerable amount of scrutiny, was Djed Spence.

Replacing Darnell Fisher in the right-back role for Saturday's game, it was Spence giving away possession that started the move from which Millwall netted the opening goal of the game, with the 20-year-old then substituted at half time following a difficult opening 45 minutes.

That is not something that went unnoticed by those Middlesbrough fans, and here, we take a look at what some of them had to say about Spence's latest performance.
