There is a real sense that this season could be a special one for Bristol City with promotion very much the goal for 2019/20.

Seven signings have been made in the summer transfer window, including the permanent arrivals of Tomas Kalas and Jay Dasilva, whilst Lloyd Kelly's move to Bournemouth remains the only notable departure.

And they picked up another pre-season win on Wednesday night against Forest Green Rovers - but their local rivals did not make it easy for them.

In fact, thanks to two goals from Shawn McCoulsky, Rovers found themselves 2-1 up at half-time.

But, after the home side had made it 3-1, the Robins started to put serious pressure on with Andi Weimann and new signing Sammie Szmodics levelling things late on.

It did not finish there, however, as centre-back Adam Webster popped up in injury time to make it 4-3 to Lee Johnson's side.

It was far from the most convincing of displays but many fans were delighted with the comeback nontheless...
