Huddersfield Town winger Rajiv Van La Parra has said he "can't wait" for the new season to start following his return to the club.

The 28-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Middlesbrough, but he now looks set to challenge for a place in the Huddersfield side next term following relegation.

Van La Parra made the temporary move to Boro after he found playing time hard to come by in the first half of last season, but he only managed three appearances during his time in the north-east.

New Terriers boss Jan Siewert could now offer Van La Parra a career lifeline by including the winger in his plans ahead of the new season, and the Dutchman expressed his excitement with a post on his Twitter channel:

Plenty of Huddersfield supporters responded to the update by stating how pleased they were to see Van La Parra back at the club. The former Brighton man has made 93 appearances and scored eight goals since first joining the Terriers in 2016.
