‘So basically, he bottled Saturday?’ – Leeds United fans react to significant player update

Paul Heckingbottom faces a sizeable task at Elland Road following his appointment as Leeds United’s head-coach, with the club’s aim of a top-six finish fading fast.
Leeds sit in 10th, seven points adrift of the top-six heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures, which pitch Leeds up against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
There is a long list of injuries and suspensions working against Heckingbottom, with central defence a real concern due to Pontus Jansson and Conor Shaughnessy struggling with injury, whilst Liam Cooper is also suspended.
However, a member of Jansson’s family, Peter Jansson, has confirmed on Twitter that the 26-year-old Swedish international should be available this weekend to Heckingbottom, despite appearing to pick up a serious problem against Cardiff City last weekend.
Ready for Paul’s Saturday selection!

Jansson was stretchered from the field against Cardiff following a clash with Sol Bamba, leaving Leeds to suffer a 4-1 defeat against Neil Warnock’s side.
Following the update on Jansson, who is seemingly available for this weekend’s clash with Sheffield United, here is how Leeds’ supporters reacted…
So basically, he bottled Saturday?

That's good, it was odd the way he reacted to Sol's challenge. He is a good player, but I do wish he'd toughhen up a bit.

Wow can't believe he survived that gruelling clash phil! Surprised he can walk

Not good. Shows that the players stopped playing for TC, Jansson simply didn’t wanna play vs Cardiff.

It’s not surprising really though is it Phil ? After watching the replay over & over Bamba only ankle tapped him. No need to be stretchered off!

How Bamba didn’t at least get booked for that challenge I’ll never know – would have been if he was still playing for Leeds ????

Go on the conspiracy theorists
