Snodgrass to feature, £1.8m-rated star axed: The Aston Villa XI Bruce needs to select against Nottingham Forest on Saturday

It’s been another frustrating week for Aston Villa fans as they followed up their win over Barnsley at the weekend with a loss against Middlesbrough.

The men from Villa Park have not had a brilliant season so far with inconsistency being the buzzword to describe their results and form so far.

For sure, then, they’ll need to try and bounce back with a win against Nottingham Forest this weekend in the Championship as they look to climb the table.

Forest, meanwhile, are one of the many sides looking to compete for promotion this season and so Steve Bruce will obviously have to revert back to a stronger side than the one that faced Middlesbrough.

With that in mind, then, it’s clear that the £1.8m-rated Birkir Bjarnason needs to come out of the side whilst the likes of Chris Samba and impressive youngster Callum O’Hare also miss out.

Meanwhile, Robert Snodgrass returns to the side along with Jonathan Kodjia as Villa look to at least keep winning in the Championship this weekend.
