As Sheffield United prepare for life in the Premier League, the Blades are reportedly eyeing up a big-money move for Sheffield Wednesday star Fernando Forestieri.

Reports from the Sun on Sunday (12/05, page 59) claim that Chris Wilder is a "huge fan" of the diminutive forward, who is valued by Wednesday at a price of around £14million.

The Italian has been shy in front of goal this season, scoring just six goals and adding to his total of 38 strikes in 115 games for the Owls, since signing from Watford in 2015.

But the diminutive forward is now attracting interest from the Owls' arch rivals, in a deal which is likely to raise eyebrows across the whole of Sheffield.

Wednesday manager Steve Bruce will be looking to strengthen his side in the summer, as the Owls look to go one step further than last season's 12th placed finish, and if Forestieri left for £14million, then that would surely help the manager rebuild his squad.
