‘Snap their hands off’, ‘I’ll drive him’ – Plenty of Cardiff fans react to latest transfer speculation

Neil Etheridge was left on the bench for Cardiff City’s 0-0 draw with Swansea City in the Championship yesterday, amid transfer speculations.

The 29-year-old looks set to sign for West Ham this month, after Hammers’ no.1 Lukasz Fabianksi looks to a spell on the sidelines again.

It was a bold call for Neil Harris to make yesterday, but Etheridge has been coming under some scrutiny from fans of late and many wanted to see Alex Smithies back in the team.

Smithies kept a clean sheet on his return to Championship action yesterday, and looks to have that starting spot nailed on for the second-half of the season.

Etheridge meanwhile looks all the more likely to leave South Wales this month, and plenty of Cardiff fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the move.
