David Prutton has backed Norwich City to pick up their first win of the season when they take on Huddersfield Town at Carrow Road this season.

Following their relegation from the Premier League, many had the Canaries as favourites for promotion before a ball was kicked in the current campaign, but they've managed just one point from their opening three games and sit bottom of the table.

They take on a Terriers side that secured their first points of the season with a 3-1 victory over Stoke City last time out, and, writing in his regular Sky Sports prediction column, pundit Prutton went for a 1-0 home victory this evening.

Despite their poor start, Dean Smith's men are favourites for the clash, and the boss will have taken encouragement from the fact his side were dominant against Hull City last time out where they ultimately lost 2-1.

Meanwhile, Danny Schofield's side will look to build on that success over the Potters, with the new boss likely to stick with most of the XI that got the win last time out.

The verdict

Most will expect a close game this evening as Norwich aren't firing at the moment, even if their display against Hull showed they are slowly getting things right.

Huddersfield certainly needed their win over Stoke as even at this early stage of the campaign some questions were getting asked of the club, so that relieved the pressure somewhat.

So, you can understand why Prutton has gone for a narrow home win and it's a game that should be tight and competitive.
