Leonid Slutsky is not expecting any further departures from Hull City this summer, claiming that the club are now in a position to bring new faces to the KCOM Stadium, reports the Hull Daily Mail.

Curtis Davies and Harry Maguire led the exodus from Hull earlier this summer, linking up with Derby County and Leicester City respectively, whilst Tom Huddlestone and Eldin Jakupovic have followed the pair in the last week.

Huddlestone has moved with Davies to Derby and Jakupovic has followed Maguire to Leicester.

Two more high-profile departures are on the horizon, with Andrew Robertson and Ahmed Elmohamady granted permission to leave Hull’s training camp to finalise moves to Liverpool and Aston Villa respectively.

However, Slutsky has now confirmed that there will be no further departures from the KCOM Stadium this summer when Robertson and Elmohamady complete their moves, insisting that Hull are now in a position to spend money received from recent sales, he said:

“It is very important to have this message, we have closed the supermarket. I think nobody (else) will leave the club now. Sales are finished.

“The next step is new transfers. We are very close. We are speaking with at least five players but each situation is different.

“We have money to spend after the sales and I am speaking with the owner every day. We understand each other and I think we will have more new transfers.”

Hull have recently completed the signing of free agent Fraizer Campbell, who has arrived in East Yorkshire on a two-year deal, whilst the Tigers are close to completing the signing of Kevin Stewart from Liverpool.

The Tigers and Liverpool have agreed an £8m deal for the talented 23-year-old, who is now set for talks over personal terms with the Sky Bet Championship outfit.
