Leeds United signed off from 2018 with a whimper rather than a bang, going down 2-0 to Hull City in the surprise result of the day from the Championship.

Jarrod Bowen scored twice as the Tigers registered a 2-0 win to send themselves 14th in the table, 11 points clear of the drop zone. It demonstrated that on the right day, anyone can beat anyone in the Championship.

Leeds weren't at the races and whilst they didn't lose ground with Norwich also beaten, they could have taken a six point lead into the new year. They're still well placed for a Premier League return after a decade in the doldrums, but the manner of yesterday's defeat will be duly noted.

One player coming in for some criticism is midfielder Adam Forshaw. Whenever there's a defeat, there's someone on Twitter looking for a scapegoat, or wanting to analyse why it happened and it seems that it is the former Boro man taking a turn in the firing line.

Here's some of the Leeds' fans thoughts post game.
