Slavisa Jokanovic provides Sheffield United injury update ahead of Stoke clash

George Baldock, Sander Berge and Luke Freeman remain unavailable for Sheffield United this weekend.

The Blades host Stoke City at Bramall Lane, looking to bounce back after falling to successive defeats against Bournemouth and Middlesbrough.

Slavisa Jokanovic has confirmed that the Blades will be without Baldock, Berge and Freeman, though, as they look to return to winning ways.

Baldock came off shortly after half-time with a hamstring problem in the defeat to Bournemouth last time out.

Have Sheffield United had a higher or lower average attendance compared to these 23 sides this season?

Higher than Nottingham Forest?

Berge has also missed the last four games because of a hamstring problem, and Freeman is also suffering with a hamstring problem, missing the last four games as well.

Speaking to Yorkshire Live ahead of this weekend’s home clash with the Potters, Jokanovic revealed that Baldock, Berge and Freeman would all be missing.

He said: “George Baldock still and a few more players, Freezy still hasn’t started working with us.

“He (Berge) won’t be available he needs more time. Last time he stopped and started and now we need to stop one time more. Entirely been about 10 days out but we will see what will happen it’s not the first time it’s happened”

The Verdict

The hamstring seems to be an issue at Bramall Lane at the moment…

Baldock and Berge in particular are key players for the Blades, especially Baldock who has started in each of their 11 games so far.

It presents opportunities for other players, though, and players like Jayden Bogle will be desperate to impress Jokanovic going forward.
