Slavisa Jokanovic believes his Fulham side showed a lack of experience last night, as they failed to hold onto a lead against Blackburn Rovers, eventually drawing 2-2 at Craven Cottage, reports the London Evening Standard.

After Saturday’s impressive 3-1 victory over Newcastle, Fulham were looking to take advantage of their game in hand, and break into the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off zone last night.

It looked like Gohi Cyriac had won the game for Jokanovic’s side, when he scored in the 86th minute to put Fulham 2-1 ahead, but Lucas Joao’s 94th minute equaliser snatched a vital three-points away from the Cottagers.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Jokanovic was critical of his side, but urged them to continue their fight for the top-six, he said: “We didn't have enough experience to kill the game when we scored the second goal, we tried but then we gave them the chance to come back.

"We lost two points, we have one point more. There are nine games in front of us. You cannot be satisfied when you concede the goal but we lost a chance for now.

"We're going to fight to be in this top six at the beginning of May. We have to keep going and push hard."

Fulham are now just one-point adrift of Sheffield Wednesday, but know victory over Wolves on Saturday will see the move into the Play-Offs, due to Wednesday facing fifth placed Reading on Friday evening- where one of the two sides directly above the Cottagers will drop points.

Despite last night’s result, Fulham’s Play-Off hopes remain in their own hands as they still have to face Wednesday between now and the end of the season.
