West Brom boss Slaven Bilic has revealed that Grady Diangana won't be back for another month, although there was better news on Kieran Gibbs who is back in training.

Diangana, who joined on loan from West Ham in the summer, has been key to Albion's success this season with an injury he suffered against Birmingham back in December the catalyst for the Baggies poor form in the league.

He lasted just 90 seconds on his first start back against Stoke and is set for another four weeks on the sidelines.

That's after Bilic gave the latest on the winger's situation, whilst he also gave an update on Gibbs' progress and even though it's positive, the Croatian made it clear he won't be taking any risks with the left-back when speaking to the Express & Star.

"Grady should be back, we’re talking about the beginning of March, let’s say. Grady should be back for the last seven, eight, nine, 10 games, if we’re lucky, and that’s a lot of games.

"With Kieran we want to find the balance – we want him back, but it’s happened three times. That’s why he started with us on Friday. He could’ve started five, six, seven days ago. We’re going to see how it goes. We’re walking on eggshells a little bit, because of recent history, but he’s there. It’s a great sign."

The verdict

The loss of Diangana was particularly significant although bringing in Kamil Grosicki and Callum Robinson means Albion should be able to cope better than they have done moving forward.

However, it will still be a major boost to get the England U21 international back because he has proven this season just how good he is in the Championship.

As for Gibbs, he is another class act at this level but West Brom are well-stocked in the full-back department with Conor Townsend and the versatile Lee Peltier options to fill in.

So, it's no longer a crisis situation for the Baggies after a productive January but these two coming back over the next few weeks and months will be a real help.
