West Brom boss Slaven Bilic has revealed he 'can't wait' for Grady Diangana to return to fitness and add to his attacking options.

The on-loan West Ham winger has been superb for Albion this season and the Baggies seriously missed him when he picked up an injury against Birmingham City prior to Christmas.

Another setback in January against Stoke came during the Baggies awful run and it prompted Bilic to strengthen before the end of the winter window.

Callum Robinson has excelled since joining from Sheffield United and Kamil Grosicki has bolstered the squad too. And, the pair, particularly Robinson, have made a difference, with a 2-1 win at Reading last night Albion's third in a row.

Therefore, the Championship leaders seem to have finally found a way to cope without Diangana but Bilic told Birmingham Live he still needs the England U21 international back.

"It’s never a problem to have good players, especially in a situation where everything is positive. Everybody wants the same goal, the same cause. Unfortunately Grady will still be out for a few more weeks, but I can’t wait for him to come back. I can’t wait."

The verdict

It's going to be very interesting to see where Diangana fits into this team when he does return but Bilic will surely find a place for the speedy winger.

As he says though, it's about having depth and you can never have too much quality and Albion deserve credit for the way they acted in January.

They strengthened significantly and now appear to have plenty of firepower which will make the difference in the run-in.
