Leeds United host Derby County tonight in what should be a thrilling contest between two genuine promotion contenders.

Marcelo Bielsa's Whites lead the way after a fantastic campaign so far where they have impressed with their free-flowing football and high-intensity approach.

However, they will face a tough task against sixth-placed Rams at Elland Road and Sky Sports pundit David Prutton can't separate the sides.

Writing in his regular Sky Sports prediction column, the former Leeds midfielder went for a 1-1 draw between the sides.

Even with Leeds' ridiculous injury crisis, that would be a decent result for Frank Lampard's side and Prutton reckons that revenge will be on the mind of everyone connected to the visitors.

Bielsa's men sent out a real statement to the rest of the league earlier in the season as they won 4-1 at Pride Park in what was a remarkable performance and he will be hoping for the same again.

Yet, they head into the clash on the back of three successive losses in all competitions and know another defeat will see the chasing play-off back, that includes Derby, gain significant ground.

The Verdict

This is a fair prediction as it's between two good sides and you would expect them both to score.

Whilst the hosts are without many key players, Harry Wilson looks likely to miss out for Derby and that's a big setback.

Even so, there will be a lot of quality on the pitch and fine margins could decide a game between two of the better teams in the Championship.
