David Prutton has predicted more misery for Steve Bruce when his West Brom side travel to take on Preston this evening.

Albion were expected to be in the mix for promotion this season but they're outside the relegation zone on goal difference after 11 games, with the pressure building on the Baggies chief.

They take on a North End side that have had troubles of their own this season too, as they've managed just three goals in the league, although they've only conceded four.

So, a low-scoring contest is expected and Sky Sports pundit Prutton has gone for a narrow home victory in his predictions column.

"A sixth goalless draw for Preston on Saturday, as they held Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. There have been just seven goals in their 11 games so far, which is pretty staggering to be honest!

"Steve Bruce will be under real pressure at West Brom. Just one win all season is simply not good enough and he needs to find a formula soon because the Baggies should be aiming at least for the top six. Confidence looks low, and I think they could lose at Deepdale to turn up the heat. 1-0."

The verdict

Firstly, it's no surprise he has gone for a low-scoring game considering Preston are involved and there's nothing to suggest this won't be tight.

Some at Albion will argue their performances have warranted more points but the reality is that they will be in a low place right now after a poor run.

So, it's a big game for both and you would expect it to be close, where the first goal is going to be hugely important.
