Aston Villa travel to Sheffield Wednesday tomorrow looking to get back to winning ways after a tough last week.

Steve Bruce's side lost to promotion rivals Fulham on Saturday before drawing at home to Preston on Tuesday. And, those results combined with Cardiff collecting six points mean the Welsh side now have a four-point cushion in second place.

It's no coincidence that Villa's form has dropped with Jack Grealish and Albert Adomah out. The duo missed those last two games and Villa have only scored a penalty in that time.

The pair provide pace and creativity that has been lacking since and it's a worry for fans that they are both expected to miss the game at Hillsborough as well.

Despite that, EFL pundit David Prutton reckons that the visitors will leave with all three points, predicting a 1-0 win for Villa in his Sky Sports column.

The Owls come into the game on the back of a 2-1 loss to Millwall, with Jos Luhukay coming in for criticism having opted to start without a natural striker.

The Verdict

It's hard to see too many goals in this game as Wednesday have been fairly solid under their new boss, whilst Villa are without two key creative threats.

Therefore, fine details could decide this game, such as a set-piece goal or an individual mistake and Villa will be hoping Prutton is correct with his call.

Cardiff's fine run means they need to start winning quickly if they are to have any chance of making the top two.
