Bournemouth will be hoping to return to winning ways tomorrow afternoon when they host Coventry City.

The Cherries fell to a 3-2 defeat at Derby County last weekend, before being held to a 1-1 draw against Millwall during the week.

Despite picking up just four points from the last four games, Bournemouth still have an eight-point gap ahead of West Brom in third place, with Scott Parker's men making strides towards securing Premier League football for next season.

Looking to inflict another defeat on The Cherries is Coventry.

The Sky Blues find themselves in fifth after an extremely positive start to the new campaign.

However, Mark Robins' side have been less effective on the road, averaging 1 PPG away from the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Issuing his score prediction via his Sky Sports column, David Prutton believes that Bournemouth will run out 2-1 winners on Saturday.

The verdict

This is a massive test for Bournemouth because they are experiencing their first blip of the season, and if they are to get straight back out of it tomorrow, then that will only boost their chances of promotion.

The Cherries have been extremely dominant on home soil this season, turning the Vitality Stadium into somewhat of a fortress.

Coventry are in a similar boat in regard to their home form but will need to improve their away form if they are to achieve a play-off finish this season.

It will be no surprise to see The Cherries bounce back against The Sky Blues with a narrow victory.
