Cardiff City will be looking to record consecutive Championship victories for the first time this season when they host rivals Bristol City on Friday night.

Neil Harris was left far from happy after the Bluebirds were beaten in injury-time at QPR last Saturday, but his responded in the perfect manor by dispatching Barnsley in midweek to earn their first Cardiff City Stadium win of the campaign.

Cardiff sit 13th in the standings, but can climb above Harris' former side Millwall and up to eighth-place if take maximum points here.

But the Robins will arrive in the Welsh capital in confident mood after ending their five-match winless Championship run in midweek by winning at Huddersfield.

Those three points kept Bristol City in touching distance of the top-six and they know another victory here would be enough for them to climb into the top-two, albeit for less than 24 hours.

But Sky Sports pundit David Prutton think will be the outcome of the first Severnside derby of the season? He has predicted a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw in South Wales.

He told Sky Sports: "That was a great win for Cardiff in midweek, and Harry Wilson is really getting up to speed which can only bode well for them.

"Bristol City's win was curious in midweek as they had not won in five before that and were well beaten by Norwich in midweek. It showed great resolve and this feels like a score draw to me."

Can you name the mascot of these 37 EFL clubs?

The Verdict The performance, clean sheet and victory against Barnsley was exactly what Cardiff needed and I think they'll continue where they left off on Tuesday with another win here. Bristol City have been impressive on the road this term, losing just once in five matches (W3 D1), but I believe they'll come unstuck here.
