QPR will look to return to winning ways this weekend as they host Bristol City.

The R's fell to their first defeat of the season in midweek, losing 2-1 to AFC Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Before that, QPR had gone unbeaten in their first six games, yielding 12 points and winning three times. They will look to get back to winning ways this weekend as they host Bristol City in West London.

City, meanwhile, were held to a 1-1 draw with Luton Town at Ashton Gate in midweek, with Danny Hylton netting in stoppage time.

Whilst they are yet to win at home in a long, long time, they will also look to return to winning ways on the road this weekend.

Mark Warburton's QPR sit seventh in the Championship table on 12 points, whilst Nigel Pearson's men sit 11th on nine points.

What does Sky Sports' David Prutton think, then? Well, the former Nottingham Forest and Leeds United midfielder has predicted a 2-0 home win for the R's.

He said: "A first defeat of the season for QPR in midweek, but it was a tough trip for them down to Bournemouth and they still gave a real good account of themselves on the south coast.

"Bristol City still cannot win at home, and came so close against Luton, but if they keep picking up points it is not the end of the world. I do, however, fancy QPR to bounce back here."

The Verdict

I can see this being another home win for QPR.

The look a really impressive outfit under Warburton and have started the season in strong form, and I think that when it clicks, they can beat anyone at home.

City are far too inconsistent under Pearson in my opinion, but their away form has been bright despite a really disappointing run on their own turf.

I agree with Prutton here, though, and my prediction is that QPR will win by a goal to nil.
