After a hectic week in the Championship, the action continues this weekend as the season begins to take shape.

Loftus Road is the venue as Queens Park Rangers host Norwich City in matchday nine of the second tier’s campaign.

QPR are going into this fixture in fine form having not tasted defeat in five games in all competitions, having seen off Millwall 2-0 on Wednesday night without getting out of second gear.

The Canaries, meanwhile, are also on an unbeaten run themselves, not losing in four matches in all competitions and have beaten Middlesbrough and Reading in the space of a week.

One point separates the sides in the league with Norwich in 12th and Steve McClaren’s Hoops in 16th.

With that said, Sky Sports’ David Prutton has looked ahead to this weekend’s clash.

He said: “Both of these sides have well and truly put poor starts to the season to bed with a good sequence of recent results.

“QPR saw off Millwall in midweek and now have 10 points from their last four games, and the pressure has definitely eased on Steve McClaren.

“Norwich, meanwhile, have won their last two and appear to finally be turning the corner under Daniel Farke. That being said, I feel like QPR may just edge this one. 2 -1 with Nahki Wells to score first.”

The Verdict

Despite QPR’s recent run of results, I feel Norwich are on a more impressive run and have a striker in Teemu Pukki is in relentless form.

Steve McClaren’s men will be well drilled and organised, but Daniel Farke’s team will have too much about them.

Complacency might be an issue after a thoroughly impressive win over Millwall on Wednesday, but I think Norwich will have enough to win this.

I'm going with a 2-0 win for the visitors.
