Preston North End have been backed to pick up a third successive away win in the Championship this weekend when they travel to Huddersfield Town.

Alex Neil's side were 2-0 winners at Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday evening, building on their 4-2 win at Brentford the other side of this month's international break.

This Saturday, they head to West Yorkshire to take on a Huddersfield Town side that are flying under Carlos Corberan.

Quiz: Do Huddersfield Town and Leeds United have these 10 things in common?

Corberan has overseen a great run of form, with Huddersfield picking up 10 points from the last 12 available to them. That included last Saturday's win at Swansea City and Tuesday night's 1-0 win over Derby County.

Despite that positive run of form for Huddersfield, David Prutton believes that Preston will win for a third consecutive game on the road and record a 1-0 victory - as per his Sky Sports prediction column.

In terms of the league standings, Huddersfield sit ninth and know that a victory tomorrow gives them a chance of climbing into the play-off places.

For Preston, they are further adrift in 15th, but know victory will move them above Huddersfield on goal difference.

The Verdict

This is quite a bold prediction from Prutton really. If Preston record a third straight away win that's some going and a real statement to the Championship.

However, they meet a Huddersfield side with their tails up. Corberan's side are playing a good brand of football and winning games. Plus, they've got home advantage.

I'd maybe edge towards a draw rather than putting my money on one of these sides to claim maximum points.
