Leeds United travel south to take on Reading this evening at the Madejski Stadium.

Marcelo Bielsa is set to name an unchanged side once again as the Whites aim to cement their place in the top two with a win.

Leeds will return to the summit of the division with a victory over the struggling Royals having won four of their last five games – losing just thrice in ten.

Reading, meanwhile, will be buoyed by their last-gasp win over Wigan last weekend.

The victory moved the Jose Gomes’ side up two places and three points clear of the drop zone.

The Royals have lost once in their last eight outings winning three to move out of the bottom three.

A win tonight could see them pull six clear and ease their relegation fears considerably heading into the final game before the international break.

Ahead of the contest between the two teams, Sky Sports once again enlisted the thoughts of David Prutton to predict the outcome of the fixture.

The former football, now pundit said: “What a massive win that was for Reading on Saturday.

“In fact, they have faced three teams around them in their last three games and picked up seven points, which is just what you need to do when you're down near the bottom.

“Facing Leeds is a different prospect altogether, although Marcelo Bielsa's side may be without Patrick Bamford again for a little while.

“I still fancy them to win at the Madejski, 1-2.”

The verdict

Reading pulled off a stunning last-gasp win at the weekend but the hysterics and joy end tonight.

Leeds are on a mission, and I think they will be too strong for a Royals side buoyed by their victory over Wigan last time out.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side should dispatch the Championship strugglers with ease to bring them back down to earth with a bump.
