Nottingham Forest host Birmingham City on Saturday, with both sides looking to win their second game of the season.

Sky Sports' EFL pundit, David Prutton has predicted that Forest will run out narrow 1-0 winners at the City Ground, in what is certain to be a closely-fought battle on Saturday.

Nottingham Forest come into this one off the back of two impressive performances, which included a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Leeds United at Elland Road last weekend.

The Reds showed real resilience to take a point away from Yorkshire, and they'll be keen to build on this impressive showing against Birmingham.

They then followed that up with a 1-0 win over Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup, with some players staking strong claims for a regular starting spot in Sabri Lamouchi's side.

Birmingham are winless in their last two games but remain unbeaten in the Championship after they drew with Bristol City at the weekend.

They seem to have a lack of depth available to them this season though, after they fell to a 3-0 defeat to League One side, Portsmouth in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

But Sabri Lamouchi seems to be getting the best out of his squad which will be pleasing to see for the Nottingham Forest supporters heading into their third league game of the season.

It's certainly going to be an interesting game between two sides who will be in with an outside chance of finishing inside the top-six, but it shouldn't be ruled out, especially with the Championship throwing up some unpredictable outcomes.

The Verdict:

I have to agree with Prutton here.

I'm still not convinced by Birmingham this season, even though they have started better than I first thought they would in this year's campaign.

I think Forest will have enough about them to win this one though, as they seem to be clicking into gear under Sabri Lamouchi and gave a really good account of themselves in the draw against Leeds United last weekend.
