Sky Sports pundit predicts frustration as Millwall and Birmingham look to end winless runs

Sky Sports EFL pundit David Prutton has issued his prediction on the Championship clash between Birmingham City and Millwall on Saturday, indicating the game will end 1-1 at St Andrew’s.

Both sides head into the game in desperate need of a win, with neither having claimed one since October.

Scoring goals has been a key issue for Millwall, who have found the net just twice in their last five games.

In his predictions for Sky Sports, Prutton has indicated that neither side will be able to end their winless run and suggested the game will finish 1-1.

That result would likely mean both sides slip back further from the top six and could mean that the Blues are sucked toward the relegation places, as they’re six points above the bottom three at the moment.

The hosts look set to be without Adam Clayton and Aitor Karanka has indicated he is unsure whether recent arrival Alen Halilovic will be able to make his debut.

Millwall are likely to be without a string of attacking options with Kenneth Zohore, Mason Bennett, and Connor Mahoney all sidelined, that means Tottenham loanee Troy Parrott is in line to make his second Championship start.

The Verdict

It’s hard to argue with Prutton on this one.

Millwall have been solid defensively this term but they’ve been plagued with problems in the final third and their chances could hinge on whether Parrott can find form in front of goal.

The long winless runs that both have endured is likely to mean it’s a cagey affair at St Andrew’s and could be decided by one moment of brilliance or a mistake.

A draw will likely be a frustrating result for both sides but it looks the most likely one.
