Reading host Norwich City in a key clash at the top of the Championship table on Wednesday, and Sky Sports' David Prutton believes the Royals will claim the three points.

Following a four-match losing streak during November, Veljko Paunovic's side have turned their form around and head into this evening's game having lost just once in their last six league games.

An 89th-minute winner from Michael Olise earned the Royals three hard-earned points at QPR on Saturday - leaving them just one point adrift of the automatic promotion places.

However, this'll be Reading's toughest test of the campaign, against a Canaries outfit that've won 10 of their previous 14 league outings - with the defeat at Luton Town earlier this month their only since the early weeks of the season.

Quiz: Did these 25 players make more or less than 100 Reading FC appearances?

It promises to be an exciting clash at the Madejski Stadium, and Prutton is expecting a goal-fest in Berkshire, with Reading coming out on top 3-2.

He told Sky Sports: "Now this is a match-up! The early leaders, who looked eager to run away with the title at one point, versus the team currently top of the pile. Reading are generating plenty of momentum following that blip in November and have lost just one of their last five outings.

"It's a sign of a good team that Norwich are dealing with whatever comes their way at the moment. They came from behind to beat Sheffield Wednesday and have since scored second-half winners after being pegged back against Forest and Blackburn. However, I think Reading will take the points here."

The Verdict

It's hard not to be excited about a game of this magnitude. With arguably the two best sides in the Championship this season, it has all the makings of a classic.

However, despite Reading returning to form in recent weeks, Norwich have been outstanding on the road this season, and I think Teemu Pukki's form will prove the difference here.
