Former Nottingham Forest player David Prutton is confident that his former side will finally get three points on the board this weekend, as they welcome Paul Clement's Reading to the City Ground.

Reading lost their opening match of the season at home to Derby County, whilst Forest followed up their 1-1 draw at Ashton Gate with an identical result against recently-promoted West Brom.

With matches against a play-off chasing side and former Premier League side out of the way, they'll be hoping to get all three points against last season's strugglers Reading.

Prutton, now working as a pundit for Sky Sports, predicts the results of Championship games every week and he's got this one down as a resounding Forest win, 3-1.

Forest may hand a start to new arrival Michael Hefele, he's come in from Premier League side Huddersfield to strengthen an already impressive squad. Meanwhile, Reading were not involved on deadline day, although news that Liam Moore is staying at the club may well give them a big boost going into the game.

The Verdict

Having watched Reading against Derby County, I thought they were hard done by and it wouldn't surprise me if they're not stronger this weekend with Moore back in the side.

Forest are one of the pre-season favourites though and they can be expected to attack the Royals looking to get off the mark. I can't disagree with Prutton on this one, although I suspect 2-1 rather than 3-1.
