With the news that Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe are set to return to the Leeds squad this weekend, Leeds fans have every reason to be optimistic heading into their game against Blackburn.

The duo have missed a number of games through injury and Leeds have suffered a slight dip in form as a result of their key men being out of action.

The pair had been in excellent form before they were ruled out through injury.

The Spaniard had scored three goals and assisted twice in the five games he has featured in, whilst Roofe was in clinical form with four goals in his opening six games so it's clear to see what Leeds have been missing in recent games.

Speaking to Sky Sports, former Leeds midfielder David Prutton has predicted his former side to grab a vital win if Roofe and Hernandez are to feature against Blackburn on Saturday.

'Leeds' injury problems appear to have slightly caught up with them and they start the weekend outside of the top two for the first time this season.

'If Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez return then that would be massive for them, and if they do I think they'll sneak a win at Ewood Park.'

The Verdict:

I completely agree with Prutton's comments here as Leeds would have found this a potentially tricky fixture without their star men.

But with the return of Hernandez and Roofe, it gives them that added edge and should see them pick up an all-important three points that will see them close the gap on league leaders Sheffield United.
