One of the most intriguing Championship games this weekend will see Brentford travel to take on Stoke City.

The two clubs will be hoping to be in the mix for promotion come May and a win for either could see them move into the play-off places but Sky Sports pundit David Prutton doesn't think there will be much between the sides tomorrow.

That's because he went for an entertaining 2-2 draw when making his regular predictions online.

"Stoke would probably have been just about pleased with a point against Barnsley in midweek after going down to 10 men. They have a good squad and can aim high with the experience they have.

"Brentford will have bad memories of this fixture last season. It may well have been the defeat that cost them promotion. I think they would take a draw all day here. 2-2."

As the former Leeds midfielder mentions, this is a game that will still hurt Bees fans. Thomas Frank's side were beaten 1-0 by the Potters back in July and it was a result that meant they failed to take advantage of West Brom's slip up and they ultimately missed out on automatic promotion.

The verdict

It's no surprise that Prutton is predicting a close game, as these are two good teams and they have both shown good form in recent weeks, so it will be an interesting clash.

Some would say it's bold to think there will be four goals in the game but there is a lot of attacking talent on the pitch and Ivan Toney is a man in-form for the visitors.

So, it should be an interesting game and a win for either will be significant.
