David Prutton is expecting Leeds United’s unbeaten start to the season to continue this evening against Preston North End.

Leeds are yet to lose in the Championship under Marcelo Bielsa, who has coincidently only been beaten by Preston, albeit in the League Cup.

Writing in his prediction column for Sky Sports, Prutton has predicted Leeds to beat Preston 1-0 at Elland Road.

The Whites have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the season under Bielsa, with Leeds picking up 15 points from a possible 21 at this early stage of the season.

Either side of the international break, Leeds have recorded back-to-back draws, with Bielsa’s side looking for a first win since their 3-0 hammering of Norwich City in late August.

They have the prefect opportunity to do that tonight, with Preston heading to Elland Road on the back of a dismal start to the Championship season.

North End have won only once in the Championship, with Alex Neil’s side having just five points to their name.

Preston suffered a disappointing defeat to Reading on Saturday afternoon, with the Royals recording their first victory of the season at Deepdale.

The Verdict

These are two sides who have had very different starts to the season.

However, the Championship is a close division and there is very little between Leeds and Preston.

Neil’s side beat Leeds in the League Cup, and it would be no surprise to see them do the same tonight.

However, it is easy to see why Prutton is backing the home side, who have been impressive under Bielsa.
