David Prutton expects Fulham to break into the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs this evening by defeating Blackburn Rovers at Craven Cottage, reports Sky Sports.

Writing in his prediction column, Prutton is expecting Fulham to be 2-1 winners against Blackburn, moving themselves to sixth in the table.

Slavisa Jokanovic’s side put in an impressive display to beat league leaders Newcastle United 3-1 on Saturday afternoon, and combined with Sheffield Wednesday’s defeat to Aston Villa, left the Cottagers just two-points adrift of the top-six.

Blackburn’s recent form is not reflected in their league position. Despite Tony Mowbray’s side sitting 22nd in the Championship table, they are unbeaten in their last five league fixtures and picked up and impressive 2-2 draw with Norwich City on Saturday.

Previewing the game, Prutton said: “Tough one for Blackburn, even though they had a good draw with Norwich on the weekend. On the road they have been okay, but I think Fulham will be too strong for them after their great result at Newcastle on Saturday.”

Mowbray’s side are currently level on points with Bristol City, who are 21st, and as long as they avoid defeat this evening, they will move out of the relegation zone.
