The Sky Blues tasted defeat for the very first time this season at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Tuesday evening.

Swansea City raced into a two-goal lead thanks to Joel Piroe and Jamie Paterson before Kyle McFadzean halved the deficit with 27 minutes played.

However, Coventry were unable to find a way back into the game at that point, but have an immediate stab at redemption when The Robins visit the Midlands tomorrow.

Bristol City have lost four of their last five league games and have been beaten 3-0 in their last two away games.

Despite finding themselves in 19th, they remain closer in points to the play-off positions than they are from the relegation zone, highlighting how competitive this Championship campaign is already proving to be.

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton believes that Bristol City's struggles will continue and that Coventry will emerge as 2-1 winners.

The verdict

Coventry came up against a rapidly improving Swansea side, and as disappointing it is to lose their unbeaten record at home, they will not be too disappointed given how well The Swans played.

The Sky Blues will be looking to take advantage of Bristol City's recent dip in form and for that reason, it will be no surprise to see another Coventry win.

However, 12 of The Robins' 19 points have come away from home this season, proving they can be a force away from Ashton Gate.

A Coventry win is certainly the most likely option here, but it is also a good opportunity for The Robins to get back to winning ways too.
