Bournemouth will be hoping to extend their unbeaten start to the Championship campaign to 15 when they travel to Reading on Saturday.

The Cherries have picked up 34 points thus far, bridging a healthy five-point gap from Fulham in second place.

Scott Parker's side possess an equally brilliant home record as they do away this season, but the key difference is that they have only conceded one goal on their travels all season.

Losing their last two matches, Reading are currently in 13th but are just two points shy of the play-off positions.

The Royals are averaging 1.86 PPG at the Select Car Leasing Stadium this season, with their only two losses coming in the form of tightly-contested 3-2 defeats.

Issuing his score prediction via his Sky Sports column, David Prutton has gone with a 2-0 victory for Bournemouth.

The verdict

Reading had been grinding out results prior to the latest two defeats, but their home form does make a case for them.

However, Bournemouth have faced some tough tests already, but they have passed them with flying colours, and there is no denying that they are deserving of their top-spot position.

Not only are The Cherries proving to be difficult to break down, they possess attacking threats all over the pitch, with Jack Stacey and Jordan Zemura also proving to be quality attacking options from full-back positions.

It is hard to argue with a Bournemouth win here, but one would think that their unbeaten run would stop somewhere.

The Royals have already secured impressive wins over the likes of Fulham and Middlesbrough, showing that they have the capabilities to trouble this Bournemouth side.
