The first week of the season has not been kind to the Owls, with a transfer embargo preventing them from adding to their depleted squad.

They face Nigel Adkins Hull City this weekend, fresh from their 3-2 defeat at Wigan Athletic on the opening day of the season.

It is a first chance for home fans to get a look at the side, although there will be a familiar ring to the team sheet without any new signings at all.

Former Leeds and Nottingham Forest player David Prutton predicts the results each week for Sky Sports, and he's plumping for a draw in this one, 1-1.

Hull City have added players, Reece Burke and Jordy De Wijs have both come in at the back, but they're light up front at present and will doubtless want to exploit the loan market over the coming month.

Neither side are the bookies friend at the moment either, Hull are fifth favourites for the drop according to SkyBet, with Wednesday predicted to be neither here nor there, tenth favourites to go down.

It certainly doesn't promise to be a classic, both sides will see it as an early six-pointer.

The Verdict

Neither side got off to a good start, both conceded three with Hull having home advantage over Aston Villa in mid week. This could be a tepid 0-0, but at least in Forestieri the Owls have got a goal or two in them.

Jos Luhukay will be desperate to end a really bad week on a high, so I suspect they could edge this one, 1-0.
