Preston North End will be hoping to end their three-match losing streak at Deepdale when they welcome a Gary Rowett-less Millwall to Lancashire on Wednesday evening.

Whist Alex Neil's men have been terrific on the road, they're pointless at home - suffering defeats to Swansea, Stoke and Cardiff, all by the same 1-0 scoreline.

Dating back to the end of last season, the Whites have now picked up just four points from their previous eight home games (W1 D1), and must quickly improve on that record if they're to mount another top-six challenge.

And it doesn't get any easier for Preston, who're up against one of the most efficient away teams in the Championship.

But the Lions will be without manager Rowett, whose currently isolating after testing positive for COVID-19, meaning his assistant, Adam Barrett, will continue in the dugout.

Barrett's first game in temporary charge was a frustrating draw with Barnsley, but it rounded off an impressive eight days for Millwall after wins over Wycombe and Luton Town prior to the weekend, mean seven points from a possible nine.

It promises to be a tight affair in Lancashire, so what does Sky Sports pundit David Prutton think? He has predicted a repeat of Millwall's 1-0 victory at Deepdale back in February.

The Verdict
Millwall have been excellent away from The Den under Rowett, winning twice already this season, but I expect Preston to finally get up and running at home. They should be full of confidence after recent victories at both QPR and Huddersfield, and I'm going for a 1-1 draw under the lights.
