Cardiff will be hoping to record consecutive Championship victories for the first time this season tonight as they take on AFC Bournemouth at the Cardiff City Stadium in their first second-tier meeting since 2015.

Neil Harris' men picked up a much-needed three points at Preston on Sunday afternoon thanks to Sheyi Ojo's 51st-minute - his first goal since joining on loan from Liverpool.

The Bluebirds sit 11 places behind the Cherries in the standings, but can move one point behind them with their first home win of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth make the trip to Wales still unbeaten in the league since their relegation to the Championship.

However, Jason Tindall's men be looking to bounce back from their disappointing goalless draw against QPR on Saturday and have the added bonus of being able to climb into the top-two with three points.

It promises to be a tight affair in South Wales, so what does Sky Sports pundit David Prutton think? He has predicted a 1-1 draw at the Cardiff City Stadium.

He told Sky Sports: "It has been a real mixed bag for Cardiff so far this term, but Neil Harris' men should go into the busy schedule that lies ahead over the next few months in a pretty confident mood, having picked up four points and two clean sheets from their last two games.

"Bournemouth's return to the second tier is going smoothly and they are one of just three teams yet to lose any of their opening five. That said, I feel that the Bluebirds could prove a stern test this midweek and even come away with a point." The Verdict Both sides have made encouraging starts to the campaign, but three points here would make them even better. Bournemouth remain unbeaten which makes them slight favourites, but the Cardiff City Stadium is usually a tough place to go and win, but it's been the complete opposite this season. The Cherries have been scoring freely, but Harris sides generally don't concede many - which means I think a slender 2-1 away success for Tindall's men.
