Reading will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Championship at the earliest of opportunities after losing top-spot not so long ago.
The Royals got off to a flying start in this year’s league campaign, but a dismal run of recent results has seen them drop down to sixth in the second-tier standings.
They ended their losing run with a hard-fought point against fellow play-off chasing rivals Millwall in midweek, and will be keen to build on a strong second-half performance against the Lions.
Veljko Paunovic’s side return to action this weekend, when they take on Bristol City in front of the Sky Sports cameras on Saturday afternoon.
The Robins are sat third in the Championship table, and will be full of confidence, having won their last three matches in the second-tier.
Sky Sports’ EFL pundit David Prutton issued his thoughts ahead of the game at the Madejski Stadium, and predicted that the Robins will run out 2-1 winners on the day.
“It was huge for Reading to get a point and end that losing run. It was imperative from a confidence point of view. They’ve got some really talented players going forward, still, and could cause Bristol City problems.
“City got an attritional point against Watford in midweek, and will provide a real test for the Royals. In fact, I think they’ll come away with all three points.”

Reading showed much-needed improvement in their most recent fixture against Millwall, and they can use that as a stepping stone when they take on Bristol City this weekend.
The Robins have impressed me so far this season, but Reading have the quality in their squad to cause them all sorts of problems on Saturday.
If the Royals can hit top form, then I can see them running out winners in front of the Sky Sports cameras this weekend.
